Meet my lovely team. Here they are — six devoted, totally amazing, Christian German women who have journeyed with me lo these last seven years to create the most unique Women’s Wellness Retreat ever known! If you had ever been to one of our 3-day “events” you would totally agree. BUT, we are all as different as night & day…unique in our giftings, temperaments, personalities, and abilities. So how did we become such an awesome, tight-knit TEAM over the years? Great question!! I’ve given it alot of thought as well…especially now that we will be leaving Stuttgart, Germany and returning to the Philippines to build yet another TEAM.
What I DO know, is that we continually focused not so much on WHAT we were doing….but HOW (in what manner or spirit) we were doing things. The process was not always easy — and we had alot of sisterly iron-sharpening-iron moments as we learned to communicate well with each other. Our guidelines…if that’s what we can call them…were the gentle influences that truly shaped our team. I’d love to share some of them with you:
- Remember to place VALUE on each other and on those who come to your gatherings
- Be sure to build in JOY and have FUN every single time you get together
- Create surprising moments….with beautiful things….to make unforgettable memories
- Always involve, motivate and encouage the younger women among you
- Wrap EVERYTHING you do with LOVE. That means lots of hugs, warm smiles, recognizing especially the weak or the outsider. Say THANK YOU alot!
- Base it all….and be motivated at all times….by the truth in the WORD OF GOD
These six girls are now my life-long friends. We started out “doing a ministry for women” and ended up falling in love with each other.
